Civil Insight

Editorial standards

Civil Insight shares construction knowledge, company analysis and lessons from project delivery. These standards explain how readers can assess the content and take part in the discussion.

Evidence and interpretation

Technical articles and project case studies identify supporting sources where relevant. Research findings, manufacturer statements and company-reported results should be distinguished from Civil Insight’s interpretation. Dates, reporting periods and limits of the available evidence matter. General discussion does not replace project-specific design, specifications or professional advice.

Company analysis and industry experience

An editorial company analysis based on public information is different from a first-hand customer experience. Editorial articles identify that distinction. Readers sharing an experience should explain the service used, approximate time, project context and the facts behind their assessment. Ratings are shown only when supported by actual published rated reviews.

Community contributions

Registered contributors publish directly to Community Insights without prior administrator approval. Community contributions are identified separately from editorial content. Contributors are responsible for the accuracy of their accounts and for permission to share text, photographs and other material.

Keep contributions respectful, relevant and specific. Do not publish private contact details, confidential project information, unsupported allegations or material you do not have permission to use. Clearly explain personal opinions and any relevant commercial connection.

Images and attribution

Photographs and illustrations should be relevant to the subject and carry the credits or context needed to understand their use. An illustrative or historical photograph should not be presented as evidence of a different project, product trial or site event.

Corrections and concerns

Use the Contact page to request a correction, report a concern or suggest a source. Identify the page and the specific statement or image involved, and provide supporting information where possible. Concerns can lead to clarification, correction or removal of material after review.
